Privacy Policy
This page explains how LearnAdapt handles account, learning, AI, research, and service data.
Last updated: May 18, 2026
1. Data We Collect
LearnAdapt may process the data needed to provide accounts, educational AI tools, research workflows, app generation, plugin use, analytics, safety checks, billing or credit allocation, and platform support.
- Account data, such as username, email address, role, organization, login status, consent choices, and account settings.
- Learning and teaching data, such as course activity, submitted responses, app interactions, feedback, assessment events, reflections, and learning progress.
- AI and Agentic Studio data, such as prompts, generated app specifications, app builds, installed app events, model usage, moderation signals, and credit usage.
- Research project data, such as project membership, participant code, survey responses, consent records, export logs, and telemetry linked to an approved research project.
- Technical and security data, such as timestamps, device and browser signals, server logs, error logs, abuse-prevention events, and audit records.
2. How We Use Data
We use data to operate LearnAdapt, provide educational AI services, help educators manage learning activities, support research projects, improve reliability and safety, prevent misuse, and generate aggregated or de-identified evidence for learning analytics and research.
Where a study or pilot uses the Research Module, research use should be governed by the project information sheet, consent settings, project approval process, and researcher export permissions for that specific project.
3. Research Projects and Participants
Researchers can create project spaces in LearnAdapt to invite educators, learners, or other participants. When participants join through a project link or QR code, their project forms, consent choices, platform activity, Agentic Studio usage, app installation events, and linked learning activity may be associated with that research project, subject to the project's consent and data scope.
Participants should not enter names, school names, identification numbers, or other direct identifiers into open-text research responses unless the approved project explicitly requires and protects that information.
4. Sharing and Exports
LearnAdapt does not sell learner, educator, or institutional data. Data may be shared with authorized educators, researchers, administrators, infrastructure providers, or reviewers only where needed to provide the service, operate approved projects, comply with law, protect safety, or support agreed institutional workflows.
Research exports should use project-level permissions and should favor de-identified, pseudonymized, or aggregated datasets whenever possible.
5. Security and Retention
LearnAdapt uses access controls, audit trails, encrypted transport, role-based permissions, and operational monitoring to protect platform data. Retention periods may vary by account status, project requirements, institutional agreements, legal obligations, and research ethics approvals.
6. Your Choices
You may update account settings, withdraw optional research consent where supported, request account deletion or pseudonymization, or contact the LearnAdapt team about access, correction, or data-handling questions.
Research consent is separate from ordinary account terms. You may be able to use LearnAdapt even if you do not join a specific research project, depending on the project and institutional setup.
